Each year, the Social Media Week Organization sponsors Social Media Week conferences and events throughout the world.  As stated on their site:

Social Media Week is a worldwide event exploring the social, cultural and economic impact of social media. Our mission is to help people and organizations connect through collaboration, learning and the sharing of ideas and information.

In just under five years, Social Media Week has become a platform and a community that has grown to more than 100k members in 26 cities around the world. (source)

Finally, today’s Social Media Challenge event calls out all bloggers to share “their favorite social media tool” in a brief blogpost, tagging it with the #BSUsmWeek hashtag!  If you don’t have your own blog, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!
